Greetings from a gay, Episcopalian! I know it might seem strange that I should have found your post and responded, but fate would have it be. If you have followed the news out of the Episcopal Church in recent years, I am sure that you know that our church has gone through the same struggles as Conservative Judaism with regards to the place GLBT individuals have in the clergy. Well, I just found out that a Jewish friend of mine, who happens to be gay, has decided to audition for cantorial school. Even as I pray for my friend, Ben, in his sacred calling, if you would, please accept the prayers of this gay Episcopalian for your own calling. May G-d be with you every step of the way!
